Our village
‘the road which leads from Beauvais to Savignies is extremely beautiful and very pleasant. Having traversed slopes, valleys, woods and
orchards, one espies to the west a hillside covered with trees, which seems to separate Savignies from the rest of the world .It forms a circle around
this pretty village.'
Cambry, Prefect of Oise department from 1800 to 1802
The charm of the village evoked by Cambry exists to this day, but beyond its ‘picture postcard’ description Savignies is also a thriving village, thanks
to its shops, clubs and craftsmen. You can buy everything or almost everything here, the clubs regularly enliven the village life and the craftsmen,
with a potter’s studio, keep this traditional art alive.
